Read no evil

The Foreign Office, in its eternal wisdom, provides me with my quote du jour:

“In my view… the best thing one can do with it is to actually just quietly assume it hadn’t been sent.”

(Sir Emyr Jones Parry, British ambassador to the United Nations – about a letter from Sudan warning other countries that any participation to a UN peacekeeping force in Darfur would be regarded by Khartoum as a “hostile act”.)

Le Foreign Office, dans son éternelle sagesse, me fournit la citation du jour:

“À mon sens, la meilleure chose est de faire tranquillement comme si elle n’avait pas été envoyée.”
